can someone please let me know what this is?

"C:\WINDOWS\system32\Microsoft\Protect\S-1-5-18\Preferred" GetSTS.exe - Google Search

I am not sure what tool you used to come up with that line item - GetSTS.exe? A review of that particular line item by itself in Google does not provide any indications for malware. Appears to be an item in the 'system restore' area.

I have found the info i need. Its a system file that stores keys that are regenerated randomly by the system.
