Internet explorer :>(

Hi,
My IE will not load up. When I try to go to a web page it says it cannot find server.
All my other browsers work fine opera, firefox, Netscape etc.
I did DL avg and did a scan they did find a couple viruses but still nothing from Internet explorer :>(

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

• Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
• Once the program has loaded, select "Full Scan", then click Scan.
• The scan may take some time to finish, so please be patient.
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
• Make sure that everything is checked , and click Remove Selected.
• When disinfection is completed , a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart(See Extra Note).
• A run log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs TAB in MBAM.
• Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply along with a fresh HijackThis log.
• Please post any current revised observations.

Extra Note:

Clearly appears to be malware:

• This SMDAT32M.SYS Malware Research Report contains SMDAT32M.SYS findings.
• SMDAT32M.SYS, Spyware Remove

You might be well advised to go back to previous restore point (if that is even possible in W2K - wasn't able to find any info related to that) if there is any chance that your mistake is responsible for your IE issues. Such are the perils of registry editing and why registry backups are highly recommended.

Thank you, I will go ahead and delete smdat and do a new scan to post.
I just get nervous deleting things without knowing for sure. It was a while ago when I deleted a couple of reg keys and had fixed my comp since then.

Also I cant update avg or malware. When I try it says i am not connected to the internet
and my online game dont load as well. I dont know what to do...
