re: [Resolved] Really Slow Dell Desktop Computer

You have very little RAM, and I strongly recommend, you get more as soon, as possible.
Did you uninstall those programs, I was talking about?
Did you perform steps 2-4 (they're very crucial)?

As for updates....
Forget about SP3 for now.
How many other updates do you have listed, which need to be installed?
Can you list them?

re: [Resolved] Really Slow Dell Desktop Computer

I did complete steps 1- 4 sucessfully and Spybot and Dell Support Center were uninstalled as requested. I shut down the computer and it seems to have successfully installed the MicroSoft Net FrameWork Updates it needed. The only thing Windows update shows now the needs updating is the upgrade of Windows XP to SP3. I will check on getting more RAM to install today.

Re: [Resolved] Really Slow Dell Desktop Computer

Installing SP3 should be pretty straightforward.
If any problems, make a new post under Windows section.
