Is OneClick Spyware Expert a good program?
I downloaded ONECLICK SPYWARE EXPERT 1.16 and it found at least 10 worms, viruses (including Netsky) and other things on my computer that none of my other antispyware programs (nor my antivirus program, Rising) had found, and I allowed this program to remove them.
Could anyone tell me if it is a reliable program, or does it "detect" legitimate objects as viruses and spyware?
This is a link to their site: oops!!

Can't find much on it but my security on my computer blocked access to the link you provided so that should tell you something.

Re: Is OneClick Spyware Expert a good program?
Thanks, Neal for your input. I did a Google search and found another link:
< Privacy-care Lab - Google Search >
Cnet's site, download.com, has this link to the Version 1.14.4 (I don't know why they do not have the company's latest version, which is also free):
< oneclick spyware expert software downloads and reviews - CNET Downloads >
I installed the 1.16 version, in Safe Mode, after it would not install any other way, and did my initial scan that populated all of those "viruses, spyware and malware". I ran it again later, using the deep scan, and it picked up two more. Since then, after scanning, it showed my computer was clean.
Anyone else have any experience with that program?

Neal is absolutely right. Avast blocked the access to the software web site.
I'd stay away.
Why to risk your security with some unknown program, if some excellent, free, and known programs are available.

Re: Is OneClick Spyware Expert a good program?
Neal and Broni, you are both right. I found out myself the hard way yesterday when I ran a fourth scan. That program did not find anything, but my antivirus program (Rising Internet Security by Beijing Rising Technology) was completely disabled. I had to uninstall the OneClick Spyware Expert and delete all traces of it permanently before I could even reinstall my antivirus program (I downloaded Rising twice, and even tried unsuccessfuly to reinstall it in Safe Mode before I found that out). I think Privacy-Care Labs' software is still in the infancy stage of development. They are going to have to work out all the bugs before it would be safe for everyone to use. It certainly wasn't compatible with Rising.

It has nothing to do with any infancy.
This is the way, rogue programs work.
They report non-existing treats to scare you, and push you toward using, or purchasing that particular program. Some will go even further, like this one, which disabled your security program.
Never play with security programs. Use what other people use, and recommend.

I see. Well, thank you for the advice. I'll be more careful in the future.
