dll files not found

i have already posted the same problem once before but i was suggested to run the 4 applications and see what happens. i have downloaded and installed nod32,avg and spybot and none of them could find any virus problem. i cannot however instal lavasoft adaware..it wont let me install and gives me an error message saying that the dll file is not found. for some reaon. my problem is still the same. "MFC42u.DLL was not found " this message keeps on coming. the other thing is i cannot display the hidden files.
please help.
