pictures from video

I just received a mpg video file from which I would like to take out two or three frames and save them as single pictures in jpg or any other format.
Is there any program which will allow me to do it?
Please advise
Thanks

Re: pictures from video

I don't know if there is a program that can do this but how about if you were to play them in Windows Media Player or your prefered software and then use the print screen function and then crop the image as required.

To take a screenshot:

1. Set up the screen as required.
2. Press the "Print Sreen" button on your keyboard. (This may be abbreviated to Prt Scr, Print Scrn, Prt Scn, Prt Sc or Prnt Scrn and is usualy situated with the "Scroll Lock" and "Break" Buttons.)
3. A picture of your screen has now been coppied to your clipboard.
4. Open up Paint or your other favorite image program and paste the image.
5. Save the image as required. (Most common image programs will allow you to save it as JPEG, Bitmap, GIF or PNG)

Hope I was some help to you.
