I have much the same problem, bouhgt this thing with Winn 2000 then upgraded to XP Pro, how do I ditch 2000? This is a dell and getting into the bios menue is a pain.

How did you upgrade? A standard upgrade would have overwritten 2K. Did you choose to install to a separate partition for example? If so you should be able to delete the 2K partition.

Otherwise the easiest way is to reinstall XP and follow all the standard prompts. Choose one partition and then 2K should be overwritten.

The BIOS Setup should be just a keystroke:

If you reinstall XP, you should format both the partitions you made, then delete the extra, unused partition then install XP on the active partition, thus deleting the XP OS and the W2K OS.
