Active X problem

Hi. Everytime I play PC games(Medal of Honor,Call of Duty etc),the games always crash. This is really annoying.I have a Ge-Force FX 5200 graphics card with 128MB.My PC is an AMD Athlon XP2800 with 512MB ram.I have also downloaded the latest drivers for this card from the Nvidia website.I downloaded a version of PC Doctor and after a scan of my registry it advised me that there was a file missing from my Active X section ,which was a major problem and caused crashes.Does anybody have any clue on what I should do next as this is really annoying? How do I fix this problem?
