Not sure where to ask this

I am not sure to put this question here or to hardware thread. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit but my score is spoilt with my hard drive only scoring 5.9 all the rest are in the 7's. What would you recomend I could install to increase my base score for the hard drive. At the moment I am running a SAMSUNG: HD103UJ [Hard drive] (1000.20 GB) raded to my D drive.

I take it that you mean the performance score. I don't know how Vista/7 rates RAIDs, but generally anything that will increase drive performance should increase the score but that would probably involve hardware changes. 5.9 is high anyway & as long as you don't have any performance issues why would you spend money to get a higher score? I don't know what all it looks at when rating hardware but it might decrease your rating if your drive is fragmented because your performance could be affected. That is the only thing that I can think of other than replacing hardware. Faster drives perform better as do sata drives. Those with a larger cache also generally perform better.

Thanks for your imput townsbg, I had a feeling that would be the case, I think I have spent enough dosh on this rig already
