Reformat CD

Bought some re-writable Cd's the other day, everytime I try and burn something onto them it says I must reformat them, why is this and how do I do it.

Heres Nero's page on formatting. Number 4 explains it and theres a pdf download on directions to use incd. http://www.ahead.de/en/General_FAQs.html

I havent ever had to format to use them. You could also try erasing them in recorder/erase cdrw, that might make it recognise the format.

Thanks very much for that, I will read up on that when I get a weeks leave!! In all seriuosness, it did look a bit technical to me, maybe I will stick with non RW cd's!!
