major, major crash imminent

As I stated in my #2 post, I don't know much (nothing really) about HJT. What I did spot about AOL was about it. (I used to have AOL.) So, I don't have anything more to offer on that front. ;>{
Well, the TEATIMER can be turned off.

I'm leaving this thread open for a while in case the HJT program (and the folks in that forum) turn up anything relevant and you come back here with a cleaner slate and wish to pursue the freezing issue if it still exists. I'll be watching. ;>)

Good afternoon all......

Guess we can close this thread . I was having so much trouble with system resources, freezes and lags I went absolutely nuts
Darrell finally took pity on me and wiped my hard drive. We installed XP and seem to have eliminated just about all my problems.
The only trouble that remained was playing games on Pogo. Apparently when Sun Java updated, it created more trouble than it solved. We uninstalled the 1.5 update and installed the 1.4-something previous version and now all seems to run smooth.

I still have my AOL,but can access everything from there with few aggravations.
