Lost Windows 98 Product Code- Is there any hope?

Sorry for the delay in responding. During the process ot trying to sort the problem the pc was attacked by numerous viruses and getting rid of these has occupied much of my time! After this I decided to use the IBM recovery disc and took the pc back to Windows 95 (for which I did have the product key!) Have now purchased a copy of Win 98 SE upgrade. When this is received hopefully I should be able to sort my daughter's pc and get back to my own!

I would like to thank you and "brain_damage" for your many suggestions. It has been an interesting and very useful learning experience!

hi i have the product key for windows 98.

Thanks for the offer. It is appreciated but I have since installed an updated version and everything is ok.
