Welcome to D-A-L.
At the C:\Windows> command prompt, type in;
cd\
and hit Enter. You should now be at the C:\> prompt. Type in;
edit autoexec.bat
and hit Enter.
Use your arrow keys to scroll down to the very bottom of this file. If there is no blank line at the bottom, arrow scroll to the very end of the very last line and hit Enter to give you a new blank line.
On this new line, type in;
c:\windows\win.com
and hit Enter. Then hit the Alt key, then hit the f key, then hit the x key. If prompted to save the changes choose YES. Reboot your machine.
Does windows start?
