missing driver s for CD-RW/DVD ROM and .INF file for display adapter

First of all I have windows 98 SE on my Laptop that I use for my embroidery business software. When I booted up tha last time, I discovered the drivers for the CD-RW/DVD ROM and Display adapter .inf files missing. I do not ust this computer online and it is a Dell Laptop (Latitude C600) with the interchangeable CD rom/floppy drives. I have tried to download on my other online computer files to copy to the floppy to put the drivers back in but the floppy does nothave enough space for the information. I copied a windows 98 boot disk and this hasn't helped either. Help!!! Please...........

If you have a memory stick you could download the drivers on to that and then upload from the memory stick onto your laptop.

"If you have a memory stick "

If I remember correctly, 98SE doesn't have "native" suppot/drivers for USB, if this device is what is being suggested.

If you have a 98SE CD,,,,,,,, have you tried deleting the CDROM device from Device Manager and letting the OS re-load drivers/resources for the device?
