lost address book

i have outlook express 6 on my ME i can receive e mail i just can't open it up to read it.
i ran a spyware program and it came up with hijacked address book. i don"t know if that is the reason i am having this problem or not. how can i link my outlook express back to my
address book. address book is still on my computer (wab). the error message read the address failed to load outlook express is incorrectly configured please reinstall. I tried to upgrade and still the same problem. thanks for all your help.
