Script Error

I just purchased a Samsung SyncMaster 940MW Monitor. It came with a software disc. I inserted the disc into the CDRom and I got an error. "Director Player Error" which also said Script Error, Continue? Yes or No. When I clicked on Yes, nothing happened. I have contacted Samsung and Microsoft, however, neither can solve the problem.
My OS is Windows ME.
Need help.

What is the purpose of the software?

Does the monitor work OK without it?

Does the software package or monitor manual indicate that it will work with Windows ME?

The purpose of the software is to install the drivers, and programs. The monitor works OK as a monitor, however, I can not adjust the monitor for color, etc. because I can not install the drivers. All indications show that it will work with Windows ME.

The error indicates that the neccessary media to view the CD are not present.

It could be a Flash presentation and require Adobe Macromedia:
