WMP 9.0 Problem(WinMe)

I was burning cds on my WMP 9.0 when all of a sudden....when I went to burn one I got...WMP cannot find a device on your computer capable of burning disks. Please check your hardware and connections and retry(well...something to that effect). What could have gone wrong? Stevo

Does the CD drive work ok otherwise? Can you play a CD?

Hi,Jephree, Yes, I can. It even works burning with another program but the quality of a WMP cd is better....when it works. I cannot figure out why it doesn't seem to recognize my player/burner any more. It just stopped overnight.

...I even tried re-nstalling it(I have the file on disk) but still....NO!!
