Windows 95 open downloaded Ms office document file error~

Hi~ here's an old PC running windows 95 ,my problem is when i donwload document file (.xls) from yahoo mail website ,it can only save the file to disk name > ShowLetter < and open this file like HTML document format only ,then i change to save as type to all files it totally not content data or document and show what program to open this file . i have install Ms Office 97, running Windows 95 .. please advice and thanks ... :notworthy:

I use Outlook (from Office 2000) as my email client so I'm winging it a little here. If you're using Outlook Express, open Tools, Options, and click on the Security tab. Try removing the check mark from the box for "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus".
