I got a good one for you.. something nobody has been able to solve and no forum has the answer and sooo many people have this problem.
Windows Vista (x32 ultimate) has a bug. Regardless of your wireless adapter or any 3rd party software you install WLAN autoconfig (WLANsvc) searches for better connection every 60secs causing lag spikes you would only notice gaming but definately making them too annoying to play (wow,wc3) so heres what i have tried so far
vista anti lag, vista anti lag with xp drivers, wlan optimizer, various software programs for my three different wireless adapters from g cards to n card., dos commands in netshWLAN and every kinda possible tweak to the cards/router you can imagine. bottom line is the problem lays in WLANsvc. Now microsoft is no help, in windows xp you could disable it and use your own software with the card (WirelessZero i believe Xp's was called) but they have made it so if you disable WLANsvc you cannot use any other program.
Now the closest I have come to a solution from someone that I have not tried is they disabled WLANsvc and manually entered the SSID under configuration on there adapter. and success aparantly. thus connecting without the horrible WLANsvc. I have rummaged through countless drivers of different makes and seen no such option to enter SSID right onto the device.
So i think hes fullocrap. There has to be another way to stop WLANsvc from searching or someone to connect without WLANsvc.
(I wouldve just installed XP on a 2nd partion (disabledWzero to play warcraft) but believe it or not my computer will only run Vista.. XP cannot handle the hardware.
So you resolve my problem and I will go back and post on every forum who the man with the answer is and that donations are the least these thousands of people can do to thank you.
I look forward to your reply
