dissapearing telephone numbers

when i am looking at a web site which contains a contact telephone number, the numbers dissapear, why is this

Hi Goony and welcome to D-A-L.

I think we need some more information. Does the computer work fine otherwise? Do web pages display properly, except for the phone numbers? What browser are you using? Tell us about your computer (make and model). When did the problem start? Have you scanned for malware?

thank you for answering so quickly regarding dissapearing phone number, everything is ok all web site showing normally the phone number are ok on reading my on line bill, but for instance if i go on the web sire for " say no to 0870" and put in an 0870 number it gives me a list of the alternative numbers, they appear instantaniously and all dissapear, I use bt yahoo my computer is an acer. the problem started after I installed skype and was told that if I right clicked on the skype icon and exited that it would resolve the matter, but it didn,t make any difference.

Wow, I sure have been hearing a lot of problems with Skype lately. Unfortunately, I don't know the answer to your problem, hopefully someone reading might have an idea, besides uninstalling Skype.

You say BT Yahoo - that is not the browser, which is typically Internet Explorer, or Firefox.
