Unhappy Adobe Flash Player v10

I have downloaded the latest version of Flash Player several times but it does NOT work with my Vista OS. I have contacted Adobe which replies in gobbledigook; I've tried uninstalling and re-installing as they suggest but to no avail. The have also said that there are problems using Flash Player with Vista and that MS have a fix but that hasn't helped either. Can anyone help me please? It's only when you can't use it that you realise how much Flash Player is needed!

Re: Adobe Flash Player v10

Hi ,

I had a similar problem with Adobe Flash on a fresh install of Vista . I downloaded the binary installer ( .exe ) and installed it that way instead and it seemed to resolve the issue . Also try different browsers and see if you get the same problem . Some applications will also block Flash content - for example , yday I was using PC Tools Registry Mechanic and found an option to block all flash content - also check any in browser options that might enable / disable Flash content .

Here's the official Microsoft thread link :

Warning message when you upgrade Adobe Flash Player in Internet Explorer 7 on a Windows Vista-based computer: "This program will open outside of Protected mode"

Make sure you have both SP1 and SP2 installed on your Vista install also .
