TestBugID1 mystery
As per instructions here
[Inactive] The testbugID1 mystery (RE-POST)
I am re-submitting my problem in the Windows section. The issues described in the URL I have attached in my original post pretty much apply to my case.
So far, my system doesn't seem to have suffered much, aside from the fact that I often have to re-launch Yahoo when it is left 'idle' for a little while. The main problem I could see, down the road, is the multiplication of file handles which, in the end, could have an impact on the performance of my system.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: TestBugID1 mystery
As you have been cleared of all Malware by our expert Broni, would you ask your question again please setting out what is actually wrong with your computer giving us full details of your system. I note you are running Windows Vista.
The more information you give, the quicker we can assist you.
kind regards,

Re: TestBugID1 mystery
Well, as far as the problem is concerned, I figured I had pretty much stated it in my previous posts.
To re-quote:

As for the full details of my system, tell me what you want and how to get it, and I will produce the information.
My bottomline question, I guess, could be summed up as follows:
Have you ever heard of this issue and do you know of any way to correct it (hopefully on a permanent basis)?

I would really like to assist you with your problem but when I go to this link post#1 which ultimately takes me to this link it cannot be accessed for me to find out what your initial question was.
To simplify this, could you tell us again what the problem is with your system so we do not have to go back through links to find your problem.
To give us details of your computer, right click on:
- My Computer
- Properties
- give us the informations shown
Other volunteers I am sure would have tried to assist you if they too understood what your question is.
kind regards,

Re: TestBugID1 mystery
OK
For some unknown reason, the first time I posted the link below, which summed up the problem much better than I could have, it proved to be defective. So, I re-posted it further down in the thread you are referring to. Here is the link:
http://forums.somd.com/computers-tec...estbugid1.html
The 'problem' remains what I have italicized in my last post in THIS thread here.
Additional info concerning my computer:
HP a6318f
AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual Core Processor 5200+ 2.60 GHz
Memory (RAM) 4.00 GB
System Type: 32-bit Operating System
If you still have problems sorting this out, we'll just leave it as it is and hope the situation doesn't worsen.
Many thanks for your help.

We always like to help if possible. I am not having a problem sorting this out except to say the link you again posted is a dead link which does not help. However I have researched on Google for you re your issue and found if you go here Post #2 this may assist you.
If it was my computer, I would also read this and post a HJT log here to get a clearance from the Malware experts on D-A-L.
Keep us posted how you get on please.
kind regards,

Re: TestBugID1 mystery
Hi
I've had no problem opening up the link I re-posted above. For reference, you can also access it via Google. It's the fourth entry on this page
testbug ID1 - Google Search
(ETA: This link will lead you to Page 2 of the site in question. The thread obviously begins on page 1)
I've gone the Malwarebyte route in the other thread, and it didn't turn up anything out of the ordinary. In other words, it told me that my system was clean.
I do appreciate your efforts in this matter.
