Not able to download files

I have a problem with downloading files, and temporary internet files. When trying to change the size of temporary internet files I receive a message "please select a value between 8 and 8 for how much disk space temporary internet files may use". And the amount of disk space Internet Explorer uses for temporary Internet files is fixed at 0. In addition i can no longer download files and my browsing history isnt stored.

I am running Vista & Internet Explorer 7.

Any help to solve this would be appreciated.

Re: Not able to download files

Welcome to D-A-L,

Please, if you have no backup of your system read my backup suggestions at the bottom of this post.

If you have no backup of your registry, please download and install Erunt reading thoroughly the section relevant to Windows 7 and Vista OS. Automatically backup your Windows Vista Registry daily with Erunt

This link from Microsoft may also be of interest to your issue, but again read through it fully to evaluate it before changing any settings.

If you are unsure of anything or want further assistance, don't hesitate to post back with questions.

best regards,
