USer accounts?

Well my problem is weird, im not sure if its a virus or bug or i dk wat?BUt ne ways this problem jus occured about 2 days ago 3/4/05,i have windows xp and i have 2 user accounts on my comp.My user account works fine but when i go onto my moms it takes about 20 minutes to boot up and right when i jus to take any action it either freezes or it sends that error message but without the message(jus the beep) it the beep gets cut off.It seems like the comp is stuck on something, ne one have any ideas wat to do? thanks

well this beep is hard to explain, it jus that beep that sound when u have came acroos and error, but it doesnt show the error message, and it doesnt do the whole beep it keeps cutting out like i said it sounds stuck, this is windows xp home edition i am pretty sure and i dont know if they are admin accounts but yea?hope u can help me now? i think we are both admin cuz i have all the same rights as her soo reply when u can

You can view & change your accounts via Control Panel > User Accounts

Since this just happened it is possible a System Restore may fix the problem.

try this via Start > Run > (type in):

%systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe

& choose a point back a few days. i.e.(before the problem)

Jephreeee i <3 u bro, u helped me like a couple months ago with my fps on my game and now u fixed this!!! well actually im not sure how it got fixed, cuz i did the system restore to several dates and when i signed on a user account it says system restore was incomplete and it said it was unable to restore back to"3/1/05 but then i finally pressed ok and it signed on and here i am on my moms account, do u think the problem is fixed even though it really didnt restore to an earlier date?Reply back when u can and thanks again! = )

I would suggest going into System Restore via right click My Computer then click Properties then System Restore.

Turn it off. You will be told you will loose all restore points: OK

Then: Turn it back on & set a Restore Point.

Beyond that do you have Adaware & or Spybot?

Do you have a Firewall & AntiVirus running?

well i have some bad newz b4 we get into evrything u jus said thanks though?WEll see after i did the restore point and it said it didnt complete(my moms account went back to normal)i was soo excited by that, that i didnt even check my name and when i went back on to my name it did the same exact thing but on my name instead of hers?soo i dk its really weird, but can u help me get it back to normal then we can go over those ?s u jus asked?

Go into User Accounts via Control Panel & tell us what you see there as far as Accounts & Status i.e. Admin or limited.

all i see is that both me and my moms users names have "computer administration" next to our names. and do u have a sn jephree or would u rather keep talking on this ?
