system restore

can anyone help my system restore will not let me use it saying it has been turned off and can only be turned on by the adminstrator which i am

Where are you getting this error & what is the exact wording?

Have you checked via: right click My Computer then click Properties then System Restore? Can you turn it on here?

Wow.. I have never thought of doing it that way. I am usually searching around for ages trying to find system restore.

Incidently I used to have problems like this on my last pc. I had administrative privileges but the actual administrators account was hidden and only appeared if I started in safe mode.

error says system restore has been turned off by group policy to turn on contact your domain administrator
