Disappearing of desktop icons.

* Icons on windows Xp desktop disappears when ther is a power cut or when it is turned ON and OFF.Can you give me a solution for the problem?

Here are a few basic fixes Re: Desktop Icons Disappearing:

Right-click on your Desktop and select:
Properties > Desktop > Customize Desktop > Restore Default


right click on the desktop, chose properties, go to the
desktop tab, click Customize Desktop... there you can
choose which icons you want to be shown on the desktop.


Start
My Computer
Right click, check "Show on desktop"

F5 will refresh the desktop, but that assumes that explorer.exe is still
running.
