virus in registry and archives

Thanks for your assistance:

Problem: I located some viruses (bds/iroffer.1310 in MSLogin.exe)(sdbot.80384.6, in systeminfos.exe)(agbot.adc, in windows.exe)
servu-741376 in winkey.exe). I regularly get messages that I have viruses in the archives, which are {password protected?} AND in the registry. Thinking the registry is IE, I have moved to Firefox, but am afraid I'll drag over this mess if I transfer all the files over. Nonetheless, I'd like this stuff off, and to know how to prevent a repeat of this junk.
I have oftspy, antivir, error nuker and Adaware; all are up to date. One of these detected the viruses above, but none will get rid of them. I suspect there's more these didn't detect.
I've already unsuccessfully used the "goback"feature, which didn't get rid of these viruses.
Thanks again for your help!
Alex

A few scans you can try:

http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/

http://www.microsoft.com/security/ma...e/default.mspx

http://housecall.trendmicro.com/hous...start_corp.asp

Set all to Auto Fix.

Also:

Please follow owen's Instructions and then post your log in a new thread in the Spyware, Adware, Viruses and HijackThis Logs section. (Not in this section please).

Re: virus in registry and archives

In trying to copy the full log to show you, only one part automatically goes to Wordpad. I cannot get the log with all the boxes to copy so I can paste it to you, or to anything to allow you to see the full log. Please advise. Thanks!

Re: virus in registry and archives

The boxes will not be seen on the log but all the text should.

Just click Do a system scan & Save a logfile from the new user screen or else Scan & then Save Log from the program window.

Then post the log here: http://www.d-a-l.com/help/forumdisplay.php?f=8

Jephree:

I did what you said, then started a different thread with the log in it. Someone else picked it up and helped. Just wanted to say thanks for answering. I appreciate it and kept the scan info. Thanks again.
