Windows xp media center edition

hi there i have a laptop a P25-s609 from toshiba and it came with a tv tuner kit and a remote ass well well when i go to what tv on my laptop it dont work unless i minimize the screen and move it. it looks like its refreshing but if i leav it there its just black i dont know what it could be.
