missing dll

When trying to open a zip file I get...... unzdll.dll not found......

As usuaL, I have no idea what it's all about. Could you please help.

Another question... One which I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask... If not please ignore. For ages I have been trying to find a "free" real-time audio record/playback system. There are plenty of so called free ones around but when it comes to the crunch they are not free. I would be most grateful for any info on this one. Thanks Ralph

Re: missing dll

Are you using the XP extractor?

Go to Start/Search/ type in unzdll.dll

Anything?

As to the audio record/playback system I am not sure what you mean?

Are you refering to a Media Player?

Can you give some example of so called free ones ?

Re: missing dll

Found unzdll.dll ok but don't know what to do with it..... Sorry to be so thick! I'm using window XP Pro and Enzip for zip files.

Below is one of the systems I would like to get hold of (without the cost of course) You can record your LP's and tapes to cd in real time. ie without any form of compression. As I understand it, if a song is 3 mins long, it will take that long to record without any loss in quality. Thanks for your trouble. Regards Ralph

Audio Record Wizard 3.99 Audio Record Wizard is a real-time sound recorder software, which offers professional recording features with VAS(Voice Active System) and mp3/ogg support.

Re: missing dll

There is nothing to do with it. .dll

For some reason Enzip can't find it.

I would reinstall http://www.lancs.ac.uk/iss/enzip/ if this is a persistent problem.

Just by the way: XP has its' own .zip extractor capability.

This is also a freeware that I highly recommend: http://www.ultimatezip.com/index.htm

I will keep a eye out for the recording software.
At some point you need to decide if those features are important to you you may have to pay a little for good software.

Re: missing dll

Thanks jephree. I think I will download the one you recommended.

I have hundreds of records that I want to burn to CD and I understand that a "real-time" recorder is the best way to go. I believe there are free ones out there; but do you think I can find them ??!!

Many thanks, Ralph
