Re: misspelled instructions after turning on windows

Very strange

Did this appear before you "reformatted the HD"?

Any idea what triggered this? New hardware/ software? Any errors/ shutdowns?

How did you "reformat the HD"? A reinstall from a full version XP CD?

What happens when you choose:

Last kjkum Goo' Configqration (your mosp recemp settincs that skrked)?

Re: misspelled instructions after turning on windows

yes, it happened before reinstallation of xp . I formatted the hd and reinstalled xp several times (4) but same misspelled text appears on the window. When i start on safe mode with networking, im able to get on internet explorer and get on line. Bios seems to b alright. so i dont really know what to do with this problem.

Re: misspelled instructions after turning on windows

answer to this "Last kjkum Goo' Configqration (your mosp recemp settincs that skrked)?' it takes me back to the same misspelled window. At the beginnning, when the misspelled window came up i was able to restore to a previous restore point. but that was just one time. the following day, same thing again.when i tried to go back to restore to another day. mcafee window popped up and told me that my restore.exe is corrupted.FYI, when i went in bios window there are 5collums of-4 red lines(from top to bottom) showing on the bios window

Re: misspelled instructions after turning on windows

Do you know the make & model of the motherboard?

Are you familiar with flashing the BIOS?

Do you know the make of the hard drive?

Are you familiar with its' diagnostic utility?

If a successful Clean Install of XP is still showing this same issue I would suspect the Hard Drive or the BIOS.

Are you sure that the Installation of XP was successful?
