ps2 pad converter

i have a ps2 pad converter for the pc ive tried endless time to try and get it to work with bf2(battlefield2) even making the pad work as a mouse etc is there anyone out there who can help me ?

i love the game and would love 2 play it with a pad seein that im a console 2 pc guy

sorry about this but here are some questions:
have you tried re-installing the drivers that are needed?
does it work on any other game?
has it worked on this game before?
and there is a utility that you can use to turn your gamepad into a mouse (well.... controll the curser) here: http://www.download.com/Joystick-To-...ml?tag=lst-0-4

it says joystick to mouse but a pc gamepad will work fine

yeah ive re-installed all needid even bf2 and it works on all the other games bar bf.
no its never worked on bf and ive tried that joystick-to-mouse it works but bf still just hates the ps2 pad if u know of a up to date version that might help but im crap at lookin for stuff.
ive tried really hard to find some program that just tricks it in to it its has to be possible and i dont know how u guys found that joystick-to-mouse because i was lookin for an age then typed on ere and there it was.

i actualy found joystick-to-mouse by acident, just browsing download.com!! lol

does bf2 support the use of a gamepad? it should say on the back of the box in the specification, also look in options (on the game) and on controls see if there is anything that says like controller or somewhere where keyboard/mouse is selected, try changing it to gamepad if you havnt already done so

yes it supports a pad and yeah ive checked all options in game im runnin out of ideas .
unless sony just like being akward by makin this converter
i would hate to give up on this and it looks like its going that way.

have you tried using a diferent game pad? (one that is designed for usb) what is the exact make and model of the convertor?

the converters usb and tryin a new pad would mean more cash.

do u know of a new version of joystick-to-mouse or the same type program that works with the ps2 pad that might work.

the converter is the dual shock playstation2 pad converter
