can the apollo p-220 color inkjet printer be operated with the xp os? having problem with the right driver

The Apollo printer line was discontinued in 2001. The same year that XP was introduced.

I can find no drivers on-line. Do you have the installation disk for the printer? What are the exact problems that you are having in trying to install?
