Exclamation Blue Screen Problem

Here's what I am seeing:

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

STOP: 0x000000D1 (0x0000000C, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xf1ca1a8f)

Mpfirewall.sys-Address f1ca1a8F base at f1c9f000,datestamp 409a669f

Mcafee was deleted and disabled, so I don't know why it should do this, as I understand this is a Mcafee problem. I've already done an msconfig to see if it's on startup and it isn't. I checked in services under the control panel as well and anything Mcafee is disabled. PLEASE HELP!! I keep getting this error while I'm trying to do stuff and I don't know what to do!!

Re: Blue Screen Problem

have you got the latest updaes for xp?
Quote:
The Stop 0xD1 messages indicates that the system attempted to access pageable memory using a kernel process IRQL that was too high. Drivers that have used improper addresses typically cause this error.

Possible Resolutions:

* Stop 0xD1 messages can occur after installing faulty drivers or system services. If a driver is listed by name, disable, remove, or roll back that driver to confirm that this resolves the error. If so, contact the manufacturer about a possible update. Using updated software is especially important for backup programs, multimedia applications, antivirus scanners, DVD playback, and CD mastering tools.

Re: Blue Screen Problem

I've updated everything already. I don't know what driver is the problem.

Re: Blue Screen Problem

I did uninstall it. That's the worst of it...uninstalled it months ago. I THINK I may have it solved. I talk to support at McAfee and they troubleshooted me through getting rid of things in the registry to finalize the removal, and yes, I made a backup just in case. And I haven't seen the blue screen since, and lately, it was happening every few hours. Thanks for your help!
