I have a DVD a friend of mine burnt for me which my computer won't play.
I cannot even see the contents in windows explorer.
However, it plays in my DVD player, and it also plays in my brothers computer.
The drive is a Toshiba DVD/CDRW SD-R1002, and I am running Win XP Pro with Service Pack 2 installed.
My bro's PC is a similar spec and I don't understand why it plays on his but not mine!
I've got the most up to date driver and I can't think of what else it could be!
hi there even if your brothers computer is a similar spec are the two dvd the same supporting the saame media types
it may be worth running on your bros pc then reburning on to another disk on his which you can then try on yours
hope this helps
Ok, I will try that.
I take it by differnet media types you mean DVD+R and DVD+RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW and DVD-RAM, DVD+R DL and DVD-R DL? So not all players will play all these?
yes i do mean them types of different media and yes not all players will play all media they should either say on the front of the dvd or the box it came in
