XP Task manager

hi, i cant access the task manager on windows, it says "task manager has been disabled by your administrator" could someone help me please? i am logged on as the administrator

The Task Manager; Taskbar; Start Menu are often targets or victims of viruses and or malware.

I see you have SP2 with AVG Anti Virus & McAfee firewall: what kind of attacks are you getting? Is AVG detecting this? Stopping this?

i did a full avg scan the other day and it found 3 and deleted them, and i have been getting alerts from avg saying Virus Detected and then it gives me options to ignore, delete, heal, move to vault. i have been deleting them.

Im not positive but i think this started when i re-installex xp on my maxtor HD when my WD HD broke, i installed mcafee, sp2 and avg before i connected to the internet
