psstLOAF Is a beginner here at D-A-L
having mic problems
Right all i can say is that

it works for about 30secs after connecting to the skype/internet chat and then just dies.

it worked about 2 days ago with no problems.

ive tried another mic and it does the same.

ive also tried every setting in every way with no luck on skype and in windows.

the only thing i can think of now is that its the port

well maybe ???

if anyone has come across the same type of thing please let me know

Any new hardware and or software? Perhaps try a System Restore?

start All Programs | Accessories | System Tools | System Restore

Have you checked the Control Panel | Sounds and Audio Devices | Voice?

Also the Device Manager Start/Run/ devmgmt.msc

Look under Sound... and also System Devices for any Yellow !

oh ive also tried other ports meaning thats not the problem

I searched skype without much luck: (I entered: microphone problems)(also headset problems)

Does the headset work OK outside of skype? Running the tests via Control Panel | Sounds and Audio Devices?

no the mic dont work outside skype man it does the same

what im going to try today is update mobo bio

cant see it helpin but anyhow

Is this the computer:

You reloaded the BIOS and that didn't change anything?

Does it still work for like 30secs?

See if anything shows up in the Event Viewer:

Event viewer: rt. click My Computer then click Manage then Event Viewer.
Or: Administrative Tools/Event Viewer or Start/Run/ eventvwr
Open the system as well as the application tabs & look for X errors. Click error line for details.
Post back the source & event id & Description especially of errors that seem to coincide with this issue.
Also check the Information lines that might coincide with this issue.
