Hi,
My friend is having problems with her comp and wants me to reformat it for her. I know how to do this own my own computers as i have the discs but she doesn`t have the disc.
Can i use my discs to reformat her comp if not is there a easy( i`m not too computer literate ) way to do this?
You could maybe format her PC but I doubt you'll be able to reinstall an operating system with your disc for a couple of reason.
1.. your copy of windows is maybe only licensed for one PC. (yours)
2.. your copy may be specific to the make of PC (ie..Dell, etc)
so wont work.
what make is her PC did it have XP already installed ?

I didn`t think it would be possible. I`m not sure of the make of her PC but it does have XP on it. I`m going around there tonight so i will have a look. I`m not great with computers but know some of the basic stuff so will see if i can sort it without reformatting. It might be something simple that`s the problem as she`s very computer illiterate and she admits it
I`ve got 5 discs for my desktop which i made from the computer and 1 disc that came with my laptop.
