burning data cd

helloy people.
first post here, hope you can help.

im having trouble burning a cd for my car. i have created a number of test tones and saved them as WAV files. i need the track title to be displayed on my hu so have been burning the disc as a data cd but my hu wont read it.

i currently use a lot of mp3's which i just drag and drop onto cd and burn with no problems. but when i try these WAV files i get an option of music or data cd.
musuc cd's work but dont display track info.

thanks in advance

dave

Re: burning data cd

ahh excellent, thanks a lot.

my understanding from that is the .wav fike name is not the same as cd text, and using windows media player i cant add track titles. so i need to download nero and use that to be able to add cd txt to audio cd's.

is that correct?

Re: burning data cd

I think so but am not certain. I have Nero as it came with my DVD/CD drive so I am not sure what the XP options were/are.

You could try right clicking on a file/track and then click Properties

Then Summary then Advanced

See if you can add a title.

If not I guess you need a DVD/CD program. There are many out there to choose from, Nero, just being the most popular.
