I am having problems with my games... i install a computer game and i make shore my pc is compatable,,the game installs perfectly bu when i come to run the game it goes to a black screen and then goes off again afer about a minuite.. i have tryed this with serveral games and it does it with them all
i have checked to see if i have any virus's and non have been found... i have install the new graphics card.. i have changed the pixels but still does the same please help me.. if i am not on the fourm please email me

hi, welcome to DAL, first off, click start > control panel> system and go to the Advanced tab. In the startup and recovery section, click settings. in the new window, in the startup and recovery section (in the middle) UN-tick the box that says automaticaly restart.
Try the game again... you should get a blur screen, at the top is a title, take note of this, also the error code (e.g something like 0x000000D or similar).
Wait for the memory dump to complete (incase it is needed later on) and restart your computer, post on here the error message and code,
This will help us to try and resolve your issue.

i did that but it does the same..
i am tryin to play the new game battlefield 2... wen i click to play the balltle field logo comes upa nd then goes black screen

if you are confident with opening the case, you could check for overhaeting and make sure the fans are working properly... dont think it will be that though.
Have you tried re-installing the game? on the back, how many moniter sockets are there (usualy blue) http://www.damnsmalllinux.org/bb/back.jpg the blue one is the monitor socket? if there are 2, try plugging it in to the other one to check the graphics card (you may need to install the graphic drivers first)
also, re-install the graphics drivers for your existing graphics card

yeah non of my other games work..my computer is a packard bell ixtreame 6060
i have installed the new graphics card and reinstaled it but still no...i got my computer roebooted about 4 months ago and only one game has worked since then but i dont own that gmae any more

did it reboot just out of the blue? what were you doing at the time?
did you get an error message when you turned your computer back on?
also have you noticed anything different since it rebooted e.g new desktop/quicklaunce icons, new or changed icons in the system tray?
it could be a virus/spyware, try scanning using an up-to-date antivirus and spyware remover (2 free examples are AVG Antivirus and Lavasoft Ad-Aware (both can be downloaded using the apropriate links in my signature below)

hmmm this sounds familiar about my game risetonations gold edition... But it reboots on me during the middle of playing it and i ve done the un-click auto-matic restart.. but nothing seems to be telling wats wrong .. if u can aslo help me as well it be much appreciated and gruderz I much undrtand how much u wanna play your game wit no problems

sorry, cant think of anytthing else apart from a display setting.... hopefully someone else might be able to help you... untill then, ill keep looking on google.
