printer program

I had to uninstall and reinstall the printer. The control program I had on the desktop cannot connect to the new driver software that kicked in when I reinstalled, so it doesn't there's a printer in the system. Where in the system would I find the software that would run the reinstalled printer, and how would I find the control program to put onscreen? I just got a new cartridge and need to realign. Ideas? Thanks!

Re: printer program

Actually, what I ended up doing was to unzip a previously downloaded software package, then go to search and type in "control program". Once I found that, I went to the link and moved the shortcut out of the folder onto the desktop. Now its all back like it was. The other day the printer would not print, so I deleted and reinstalled. The control program icon on the desktop at that time ws linking to the deleted printer, so it thought nothing was there. Thus the search. Thanks for your help anyway.
Your brain is no more damaged than mine by this, BTW!
This one is resolved.
