Plz Help - Wireless modem & XP not working

Hi Everyone,

I am Mac literate not really PC literate. I have a wireless modem for my Mac
and my daughter has her PC also attached to my wireless modem which allows both of us to be on internet. Once in awhile in her computer ( XP ) under Properties somewhere ( I think? ) the option for the wirless modem disables. I can't find the spot to reactivate the wireless modem for her PC. Can anyone out there please help me, as my daughter needs to get on her PC to do an assignment.

You say: "once in a while..." how have you resolved this issue in the past?

Does rebooting the computer reset the connection?

If it is a hardware issue take a look at the Device Manager: Start/Run/ devmgmt.msc > Network Adapters

Also look at start > Control Panel > Network Connections

Also view your Error Log via:

[1] Start Menu
[2] Help and Support
[3] Pick a Task
[4] Tools
[5] Advanced System Information
[6] View the Error Log

Look for any synchronous entries.

Thank you so much for replying, but it wasn't that. It was something in the properties that the guy who set up the wireless modem fixed. However thanks for your reply.
