computer locking up

I recently installed a wireless PC card from Compusa and now twice the computer has locked up. On the previous occasion, I was able to get one of their people to talk me thru safe mode and a restoration to a day previous to the installation. I reinstalled the card, and it ran ok for a day or so, but has locked up again. I cannot get the machine to even come up in safe mode. Ideas?

Re: computer locking up

Have you removed the card again? What exactly happens when you power on the computer? Where does it fail? What type of XP CD do you have?
