win32 apps

Just exactly WHAT is a valid win32 application? I am trying to download and unpack a driver and the computer tells me its not a valid win32 application. What does that mean?
I downloaded the appropriate driver for XP, but this keeps coming up when I hit the setup folder.

Re: win32 apps

actually it was a 64 bit app, and I think my system is only 32. Still having trouble getting a correct driver for this thing. Will be calling factory tomorrow about it. Downloaded what looked like the correct one and, on attempting to run, it said "an error has occurred", and to uninstall and reinstall. What's that about?

Re: win32 apps

turns out that was a 64 bit driver. Got the right driver in and it worked. But watch Roland's drivers! You sometimes do better getting the driver from Edirol if its a Midi device driver made by them. Then read the readme religiously. It got in ok. Close this thread. Thanks!
