Strange USB port message

I recently bought an iPod and for a long while the USB port on my computer was not active. The computer was not recognizing the iPod when i plugged it into the port. I checked all the drivers and was able to get the computer to recognize that the iPod was plugged in. However, now a message pops up that says that there is a program or device blocking the use of the ports. Any help?

The only firewall I have on my computer that i know of is Windows Firewall. Could that be blocking it?
Also, when i connect the iPod into the computer, it charges the iPod but there is still a message that says a program or application is blocking its access.

Re: Strange USB port message

Only way to check is to disable the firewall. I hate them personally... but that's just me

Disable it and give it a shot.
