Cant load Yahoo Messenger

Hi, I have a Dell computer with Windows XP. I have, for months, used Yahoo Messenger and used the webcam often. A week ago...I could not log on to YM. As far as I know...I did nothing to change any settings or do anything to cause YM to destruct. Anyway, I tried all the Yahoo fixes and got no where. I still can not load and use YM. What gives? Anybody have any ideas how to fix this problem? Thanks.

You could try a System Restore back a week when things were OK.

start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

Otherwise I would suggest uninstalling and then reinstalling.

After you use the uninstaller (or add/remove programs) also run a SEARCH from the start menu for all files and folders. Also under Advanced options click: System - Hidden - & Subfolders

Delete any and all finds from Yahoo Messenger. Also after this run a Registry Cleaner: RegSeeker

Remove all green lighted items.

Then try to reinstall the latest version of YM.
