whitelightning Is a beginner here at D-A-L
programs on xp not working

i had to reinstall xp thanks to about 17 viruses and now when i'm in xp the programs that i install do not start up,they do not work what so ever,can anyone tell me how to fix this?

You did a clean install of XP? SP1? SP2?

Did you reload all your drivers?

Does XP itself work OK?

What programs exactly? Did you install one at a time? Did you check each one at a time?

Did you install these programs online or from disks? The more details the better at this point.

i need serious help

its a long story:
my c drive has around 15-20 viruses and i reinstalled windows on my d drive but it didn't do the trick,programs do not work properly and network issues so i want to format my c drive but am worried about losing all my bios stuff(i'm no computer geek)but i just gather thats vital 4 the pc to even boot,so is this safe?

if you reformat your drive you will only clear data on the drive, the BIOS is on a chip on the motherboard and clearing the hard drive shouldn't alter that

have you still got windows and all the programmes on C?
