Need desperate help with a strange problem!

Ok, this probably sounds like the most retarded thing ever but here is my problem:

For some reason today when my brother logged onto his area his desktop was exactly the same as the account I use to play games on. It was not just the desktop though as he has all the bookmarks and history that the other account has.

Also when trying to access the files on his account (through Documents and Settings) from his account it says access denied.

It seems to me that the middle profile has now somehow switched to also put itself on the administrators account and thus I we cannot access any of his files. Theses files have not been delted either as we still have extremely low HD space.

If this doesn't make sense please ask questions but I really would like to sort this out soon.

Also he has done a rollback but to no avail.

Is this Home or Pro?

Can you describe in more detail the accounts that are on the computer?

Is this a limited account that has become corrupted?

Is everything OK with the main Administrator account?

This is Home.

The account that is the one with the files that I cannot access is the main administrator account and for some reason it has become the same (same desktop, bookmarks, files etc.) as the middle account. The middle account is also listed as administrator but it is not the main administrator.

In Home the Built-in Administrator account should only be accessible and visible in Safe Mode.

Try booting into Safe Mode by repeatedly tapping the F8 key after your BIOS POST but before Windows starts.

See if you do not then see a third (or Built-in) Administrator account. If so this account should be uncorrupted.
