lcd and pc help

can anyone help i have connected my pc to lcd tv pressed pc button on remote started pc u see the pc booting up gets to the windowsxp logo then the lcd just goes black cant see anything anyone got any idea what i am doing wrong

Can you describe your setup in more detail please.

You are using the TV as monitor?

Does a conventional monitor work OK?

Do you have the Graphics Card drivers installed?

Can you boot into Safe Mode?
