yahoo home page help

this is a post on behalf of my sister as her comp is not working properly. she can get the tool bar for broadband but cant get yahoo home page to load. any ideas?

Can she get online at all?

Is this a new problem? Were things working OK previously? Any new hardware and or software?

If this is a new problem try a System Restore to a point prior to the problem:

start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore


Also:


As a first response you might want to post a HijackThis log for review by our Pros in that section:

Please follow the instructions HERE & then post your log in a new thread in the Spyware, Adware, Viruses and HijackThis Logs section.
(Not in this section please).

Please specify what issues you appear to be experiencing along with your log.


If she cannot get online you can put HijackThis onto a floppy to run and extract the log back to another floppy.

hi jef how ya doing, my sister was a victim of a counterfit copy of windows and has purchased the genuine advantage kit and number and has installed the disk and needs to finish it off online and cant get online. it keeps coming up with there is a problem with YPC module and need to close but it doesnt close but keeps coming up.

she gets the tool bar and we have checked as much as possible to see if something has been deactivated but it all seems to be in order, she has a bt voyager 205 and has tried to reinstall the broadband but that is saying it cannot connect to server? i hope you can give my some advice that i can tell her
