Just doesn't work. Wont load.

A couple of days I was on my computer (Op - WinXP) when a blue screen came up telling me that windows is going to shut down. So I let it happen then rebooted it and now it gets stuck on the "Fujitsu Siemens" screen, doesnt reach the windows xp loading bar bit. When I press delete to go into setup, it just tells me to press F8 for some message thing "Boot Selection has been selected" and then I cant get of the setup screen. I've tried every button, everything i can think of so any help will be greatly appreciated.

I'm not too good with taking computers apart so I havent opened it up yet.

when you press F8 what boot selection does it highlight?

It doesnt actually highlight anything. Just says it has been selected.

my comp was totally stuffed as my son deleted windows I took the back up battery out and the put it back in it has brought my windows back but it freezes maybe the operation will work on your as it resets bios setting you may have to enter bios setting to reset time and date bios setting are in the blue screens when you start up and press delete
